Excite Pharma has been going to AAPS since its conception; every year since we started the company. We’ve always viewed it as one of the premier pharmaceutical conferences for our client base. We will always support PharmSci 360 and their events. Over the years, we have gotten some very solid leads from AAPS. It is a conference that directly aligns with the services we offer, and this year we are looking forward to announcing a few new services we are proud to now offer.

Anyone paying attention over the last few years will already know that Excite Pharma has been growing quite a bit, and we have designed our facilities with future expansion in mind. We have added new equipment and added more to our existing platforms, but should we decide we want to put in additional larger equipment that takes up quite a bit more space (even some with a pretty extreme footprint) we have the space to do that in the current facilities. We have added a number of new talented specialists and now we are looking forward to unveiling new services, too.

The first of these new services is eye drop manufacturing. Excite Services will now be manufacturing eye drops and we have capacity now for anyone needing those services. This is a dosage form product that has become very popular over the last few years, with many new eye drop products hitting the market. We have listened to a number of our customers requesting that we offer manufacturing to support them with their eye drop products, but with so many innovative eye drops requiring slightly different dosage forms than your traditional eye drop products, it was important to us that – if we were going to begin to offer these service – we offer them in a way that is accommodating to individual need and specifications. We have worked very hard to bring this online and we’re proud to relay that we can offer multiple size bottles, and multiple dose forms, depending upon client need. We can do 40,000 units easily in a batch, or fewer as requested by the client.

The second big announcement we’re happy to make is about our services surrounding nasal gel using the Aptar pump system. The obvious advantage of gel for our customers is that their drug is instantly absorbed into the bloodstream, meaning it bypasses the recipient’s liver, where the efficacy of a product is often decreased, requiring a higher initial dosage when using any other delivery method. In some cases, an oral dose might require 10 to 100 times the product than a gel product requires, which can save the customer many times over if gel delivery is an option. Gel products are also a lot like inhalation products, except they don’t necessarily have to be aseptic or sterile in their manufacturing processes (from a strictly manufacturing regulations perspective), so –it puts us in a position with these services where we can meet a capacity need that exists now in the market! This service will be joining our lineup by the end of the year. We are already taking bookings for these services now, and we are excited about offering them first to attendees of AAPS next week!

We will be giving presentations on both of these new services at our booth during the show, so contact us now about what times we will be doing these special presentations on our new Eye Drop and Nasal Gel services!
