Given a number of recent changes to supply lines within our industry – and the climate of business in general, world-wide – access to secure storage and warehousing has become an increasingly more important element for our manufacturing-related customers.
Excite Pharma has made significant investments and conducted quite a bit of research into existing storage and warehousing options for our clients that are temperature controlled, clean, and reliable for everything from initial samples to final product. This investment has allowed us to offer our clients access to a plentiful space available in an impressive storing facility located very close to our main location. Currently, we have access to a 50,000+ storage facility with devoted sections that can store up to 200 pallets to handle the needs of our clients – with the option for much more space if needed. Additionally we have purchased another facility with over 70,000 square feet that will be available within the next year for clients that have more specific warehousing needs.
Excite has stored a number of products and materials for our manufacturing clients, offering security and reliable access to their bottles, caps, containers, and any type of physical components they need for their manufacturing runs. This allows them the flexibility of purchasing materials before the manufacturing process, knowing it will be on-hand and securely available when the time comes for us to conduct their work within our manufacturing facilities. This has become an important step in the process lately, given the extreme state of supply chains throughout many industries.
It is quite common for a commercial client to require at least a year’s worth of components on hand and readily available before manufacturing of their drug product can begin. This, combined with the issues in supply lines we have been monitoring recently were the catalysts behind offering our customers even more extensive warehousing options now and into the future. Often a number of regulatory entities will want to see that a manufacturer has enough components on hand to ensure that additional testing and re-verification of new/different components is not necessary.
In addition to storing physical components, many of our clients have found our storage options to be a perfect solution for their sample storage as well. From the analytical side to the manufacturing side, our warehousing options are now offering solutions to fit the needs of many. And we are excited about the plans we have for distribution, too… but that is a blog for another day!
